Winner: Emma Phillips
Emma Phillips completed photographic studies in 2004 and quickly went on to work extensively as an assistant, becoming producer to one of Melbourne's top photographers. In 2007, she worked relentlessly on a personal folio, through selfassigned and commissioned work.
In 2008 she began her own photographic business. She now has her sights set on strong editorial portrait work and would also like to produce a fine series of art pieces each year. She was a finalist in the White Hot Awards in 2008, won Hanger's Prize at the Olive Cotton Award and was recently named as a finalist for the Moran Prize.
